Your EV or hybrid could be interest-free.
Published Government policy provides for an interest-free POLTA vehicle loan of up to BBD $100,000 for qualifying public officers buying an electric or hybrid vehicle. We can give you a preliminary reading of the published guidance and supply the vehicle details and quotation your application needs.
POLTA is a Government scheme, not a Carcay loan. ‘Up to’ is a ceiling, not an entitlement: your employing office and the Government decide eligibility, the amount and approval. Complete the official check before paying a deposit.

Yes. The price you see is the final price to your door. It includes shipping, logistics, and all Barbados duties and taxes, plus everything needed to get the vehicle delivered to you.
How long does it take to get a vehicle to Barbados?
On average, it takes 4 to 6 weeks from confirmation to delivery.
A typical timeline looks like this:
- ~1 week in the UK (payment processing/confirmation, vehicle movement to the UK facility/warehouse, inspection/verification, export prep)
- ~2 weeks at sea (shipping time)
- ~1 week in Barbados (arrival handling, customs clearance, registration steps, final prep)
- Then delivery to your door
Occasionally, delays can happen (shipping schedules, port timing, documentation timing), which is why we quote 4–6 weeks.
How much do I pay to start the process?
Our standard deposit is 25% of the confirmed total vehicle price to secure the vehicle and start the import process. The remaining balance is paid according to the payment milestones in your contract.
Who is responsible if something happens during shipping?
We are. Carcay carries the risk throughout transit and maintains marine and transit insurance. Risk only passes to you at the final handover of the vehicle at your address.
Is there an age limit for importing vehicles into Barbados?
Yes. The age limit is 4 years, and it is a hard cap—we cannot import vehicles older than 4 years into Barbados.
What warranty does the contract include?
A 6-month Carcay limited warranty from the date of delivery, covering the engine, transmission, and major drivetrain components.
It does not cover general wear and tear, cosmetic damage, consumables (tyres, brake pads, fluids), or damage from misuse, lack of maintenance, or modifications made after delivery.
Why might I see Wyoming or a US location online?
You may see Wyoming online because the business registration or admin setup can use a Wyoming address for simpler company handling and operations. That does not mean the vehicles are in Wyoming or that the import is handled from Wyoming.
For Barbados customers, Carcay operates in Barbados, with UK-based sourcing, inspection, and export support. The Wyoming registration/admin setup is separate from the actual Barbados and UK import operation.
